The all-new 2022 Honda Civic has been completely redesigned and anytime you redesign the most popular car in Canada for the last 23 years, it's going to be an event. This new Honda Civic certainly does not disappoint with improvements in exterior and interior design, technology, safety, fuel economy, and performance.

The new Civic has a distinct design that is sportier and more elegant. It rides on a new chassis that is more rigid in order to improve comfort and reduce noise, vibration, and harshness inside. It also features a brand-new interior with a luxurious design that is elegant and clean. This new interior is also a little bit more spacious, and you get 419 L of total cargo space which is more than what you will find in most compact sedans.

In terms of technology, the Civic also delivers with an all-new digital instrument cluster which is not something we see often in this segment. You will also get the choice of either a 7 inch or 9 inch centre display which has been redesigned to be quicker to react. There's also a wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto system integrated, and available heated steering wheel, wireless charging for your phone, and a Bose premium sound system.

Safety has been improved in the new Civic as well, starting with a revolutionary airbag design which has won numerous awards. This airbag is designed to cradle the head and prevent it from rotating in angled front collisions. There's also a new Traffic Jam Assist system for the Honda Sensing suite of active safety technologies, and an improved blind spot monitoring system. The rear seats also get a lateral airbag now.

The engine lineup is similar to the outgoing Honda Civic although there are some improvements here as well. Both the 2 L 4 cylinder engine and the available 1.5 litre turbocharged engine have been improved in order to be more efficient. The Civic delivers 158 horsepower out of the gate while you also get 138 pound-feet of torque. The turbocharged 1.5 L engine delivers 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque, a major improvement over the outgoing turbo.

The new Civic will arrive on the market this summer!
