As we are all struggling to make sure our environment remains clean from bacteria, one frequently forgotten area could be our vehicle. After all, we will use our vehicle to go from one place to the next and we will most likely use it when we step out of the house to go into a public environment. That means that it is critical that we clean our vehicle’s interior before heading out the door and on a regular basis.

Here are a few tips to make sure your vehicle remains clean.

For starters, you want to make sure that you use the right product. You can use automotive interior cleaning products, or you can use plain old soap. If you do use soap, you will want to make sure that you scrub a little bit harder to get rid of the bacteria. The ideal cleaning product is a solution that has at least 70% alcohol. You should have something that has that amount of alcohol somewhere in your house. You want to use it to clean the most sensitive areas of the vehicle including all of the areas that you touch such as the door handles, the armrest, the seatbelts, the steering wheel, the transmission lever, and the touch screen.

Don’t worry about rubbing hard or damaging your vehicle’s materials. Most suppliers that build parts used in your car or SUV use isopropyl alcohol. Do this every time you get into your vehicle and on a regular basis if somebody else uses the vehicle.
