Under the hood, the Honda Insight is powered by a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle engine. An electric motor backs the engine, and together, the combined power is 151 horsepower while the torque is rated at 197 pound-feet. When it comes to performance, there's nothing to complain about. You don't buy an Insight to break speed records anyway.
What you want to beat, however, are fuel consumption records. That's possible because the Insight offers an average of 4.6 L/100 km in the city and 5.3 L/100 km on the highway, for a median rating of 4.9 L.
As for the offering, there are two models: the Base version and the Touring. Right from the initial proposal, the Insight's specifications are impressive, with heated front seats, a sunroof, 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, fog lights and lights, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto applications. The Touring variant adds more luxury with heated rear seats, leather upholstery, a more powerful audio system, navigation and chrome door handles, among others.
